Family Life at Trinity
For this reason, a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. This mystery is great, but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church.
Ephesians 5:31-32, LSB
But not one has done so, even one who has a remnant of the Spirit. And what did that one do while he was seeking a godly seed? Be careful then to keep your spirit and let no one deal treacherously against the wife of your youth.
Malachi 2:15, LSB
But I want you to be free from concern. One who is unmarried is concerned about the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord.
1 Corinthians 7:32, LSB
So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.” They said to Him, “Why then did Moses command to give her a certificate of divorce and send her away?” He said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart Moses permitted you to divorce your wives; but from the beginning it has not been this way.
Matthew 19:6-8, LSB
At Trinity, we believe families best glorify God by worshipping together. Therefore, we don’t separate children during the regular worship gathering. This practice is new to many (though, rooted in history) and may cause extra “noise” during our services. Our intent is not to make anyone uncomfortable. Rather, we believe it pleases God when children learn to worship by watching their parents and participating in the service.
When it comes to training children and young adults, we seek to come alongside families and equip them to grow together. Trinity seeks to equip and disciple parents to fulfill this blessed duty. We desire for children to see a vibrant faith in their family that is supported and equipped by the larger body of believers.
We have an integrated Sunday School, Wednesday evening classes, and occasional social events for our children to learn and grow together!
Some within the body of Christ are called to singleness, whether for a season or for a lifetime. This includes those desiring a spouse, those having lost a spouse, and/or those desiring to live a life of celibacy. This is not outside of the will of God, nor are you any less spiritual. In fact, the Apostle Paul told us it is preferred for an individual to be single and wholly dedicated to the things of God (ref: 1 Corinthians 7). At Trinity, our church family includes both married and singles, and we see this status as a gift and a strength, not a problem to be alleviated. If you are single in Christ, you are never alone and you are prized! Please, do not see our family integrated focus as exclusive; rather, we are walking and growing together in Christ!

What about Singles?
What about Broken Families?
God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), and yet we live in a fallen world and divorce happens, whether it was for biblical reasons or unbiblical reasons. Regardless of your past, you are welcome to worship here. We will walk and grow alongside you and your family as the Spirit of God leads us. Let us be shepherded by the Good Shepherd and rejoice in the providence of God, knowing that this too shall pass.
