About Trinity Baptist Church

The name of our fellowship aptly describes what we aim to be.

God has placed the desire in our hearts to be a people that is God-centered (Trinity), confessionally united in a common experience of regeneration (Baptist), and displaying God’s glory as we share our lives together (Church).

God-centered

As the name “Trinity” indicates we believe that the God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is the only true and living God. We know that we were created for His glory (Isaiah 43:6-7). So our aim is to glorify Him in all we do. Worship is our priority, and this permeates everything we do, not just our congregational worship services. We want our lives to echo the sentiment of the psalmist who wrote, “One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple” (Psalm 27:4).

Confessionally united in a common experience of regeneration

Baptists have been distinguished throughout our history by a conviction of a regenerate church membership. This is simply to say that every member shows evidence of being born-again by the Holy Spirit, demonstrated by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and a determination to follow Him. This common experience of the grace of regeneration brings us together to confess our allegiance to Christ and His truth as revealed in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments and summarized in our statement of faith.

Displaying God’s glory as we share our lives together

Our lives have been transformed by our relation to Jesus Christ. This is most evident in the love we have for each other. The church, or community of Christ, is truly the household of God, brothers and sisters in Christ. We want the love we have for each other to move outside of our fellowship to impact the world with a display of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
